The Village du Monde, peregrinating from year to year, will stop in 2015 in the lands of the Far East. Folk, Paléo's first great love, will have a special place of honour, with a nod to the Festival's historic beginnings. Malicorne, headliner of the First Folk Festival in 1976, and Joan Baez will chaperone a generation of talented performers including the remarkable Passenger, siblings Angus & Julia Stone, the delicate Yael Naim, Benjamin Clementine and the orchestral Olivia Pedroli, accompanied by a quintet for the occasion.

Song, comedy, rap, electro and reggae are also on the program. Paléo will blow out its 40 candles with fireworks, after a classical concert by young pianist Louis Schwizgebel accompanied by the Orchestre des Continents.

For this anniversary edition, Paléo is adding an extra day and a host of projects specially designed for the occasion. Tickets and season tickets go on sale at noon on Wednesday April 22.
