Making music and walking in the mountains

The Musique-Montagne course lasts 14 days in the resort of Les Diablerets, with a dual objective: on the one hand, the study of a work (this year Mozart's Mass in C minor), and on the other, the discovery of the alpine region of the Vallée des Ormonts.

Oriana kurteshi will be one of the soloists at the 2014 workshop.

Every year, around a hundred trainees take part in this event. The 2014 course will run from July 12 to 26, with a new feature this year: in parallel with the course, the Festival Musique et Montagne will feature classical concerts.

Time is divided between two-thirds music and one-third mountain. During the first week, the trainees will begin musical rehearsals but will also have three days of hiking. The orchestra and soloists will arrive at the beginning of the second week, when the focus will be on the music, to prepare the work in the best possible way, and to close the course with a public dress rehearsal and three concerts.
