Working on balance

Every summer for the past 24 years, the Académie de Musique de Lausanne has welcomed ten talented young violin-piano duos for sonata interpretation classes. This year, the classes will be taught jointly by Pierre Amoyal on violin, and Robert Levin on piano.

This new collaboration with Robert Levin reinforces the international vocation of the Académie de Musique de Lausanne.

With a view to establishing itself as a unique event, the Académie offers selected students the opportunity to work in depth on their interpretation, as well as time to integrate the demands of a balanced interpretation of the violin-piano sonata.

As part of the Lausanne Estivale program, all Académie de Musique de Lausanne events are open to the public and free of charge. They also enable convivial encounters with artists from different cultures and horizons, and make music accessible to all.

As every year, this year's Académie de Musique will welcome ten duos from France, Germany, Austria, England, Spain, Switzerland and the USA. It will take place from July 26 to August 3, 2014.
