A brochure for Aurele Nicolet
This autumn's edition of the La Côte Flûte Festival will be dedicated to Aurèle Nicolet. It will take place from October 6 to 9. Participatory financing has been launched to publish a brochure.
Tributes to Aurèle Nicolet will take many forms, including the opening concert featuring Philippe Bernold, Eva Amsler and The Dorian Consort, among others. A lecture on Aurèle Nicolet will be given by Denis Verroust. Finally, a commemorative brochure featuring feature articles and photographs will be printed in three languages (French, English and German). It will accompany the release of a reissue of Aurèle Nicolet's recordings by the Premiers Horizons label. The whole set will be released in October 2016, during the festival.
Any flute society or publication interested in joining this project is welcome. People who were close to Aurele Nicolet, or who simply had a good time with him, are invited to send their photos to the festival. The editorial committee will choose from among the photos those that best express Aurèle Nicolet's personality, as well as those that bear witness to the beautiful moments spent in his company. The publication, deliberately sober and elegant, will keep a trace of Aurèle Nicolet's rich human and musical legacy.
The Côte Flûte Festival will finance part of this work, but participatory financing has also been launched.
The official festival program will be announced on May 1, 2016.
