Call for applications
Espace 2, the RTS's second radio channel, is looking to renew its on-air sound package by entrusting the recording of this package and its variations to the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR). To this end, it is calling on composers from Switzerland or living in Switzerland.
Candidates are invited to submit a main musical line (melody) lasting 5 to 10 seconds, as well as 2 to 3 variations (timbre, tempo, mood). This proposal will be submitted in the form of an orchestrated score and a sound production (maquette). At the end of this first, unpaid stage, a jury will pre-select the candidate(s) for the second stage. Deadline for entries: March 7, 2019.
- Compose a package that emphasizes the fluidity between different programs and times of day. Key words: user-friendliness, coherence, organicity and fluidity.
- The use of electronics for recording or post-production can be envisaged.
