2814 singers on the Bundesplatz
A choir of 2814 male and female singers, positioned according to the contours of Switzerland, will sing Verdi's "Va pensiero" on Bern's Bundesplatz to mark the 100th anniversary of private professional music training in Switzerland.
This jubilee event will take place on June 29, 2013 at 5pm.
The profits from this action, donated to the ASMP Foundation (Swiss Academy of Music and Music Pedagogy), will be used to finance the new Master's course at the Kalaidos School of Music. In future, it will be possible to study music in parallel with a professional activity or family life.
A ticket to this "musical Switzerland" costs a minimum of 25 francs, and any extra is welcome.
Included in the price are access to the score (in pdf), access to the mp3 audio version of the voice in question, a black or white hat depending on your place in the choir, group voicing and rehearsal under professional direction, a place in the unique jubilee choir and a donation certificate from the ASMP foundation.
