Valdo Sartori has passed away

One of the historic voices of Radio Suisse Romande has taken his leave. Valdo Sartori, best known for hosting the Kiosque à Musiques, passed away at the age of 69.

Valdo Sartori, host, announcer, actor and sound enthusiast, has died at the age of 69, according to RTS.

Over the course of his career, the Vaudois had contributed to numerous programs on Radio Suisse Romande, starting with Kiosque à Musiques, as well as various magazines on La Première, Espace 2 and Option Musique.

A sound enthusiast, Valdo Sartori also owned a recording studio in Echallens.

"For me, he was the voice of Radio Suisse Romande," reacted host Jean-Marc Richard, who took over the popular music show.
