Health and Music Day

The Health Day, organized by Swissmedmusica in collaboration with the Swiss Performers' Foundation (SIS) and leading industry associations, offers an opportunity to learn about prevention and mental health concepts in the daily lives of musicians. Top-level speakers from the fields of music medicine, bodywork and pedagogical practice will provide an overview of current developments in healthy musical practice. The day is open to all interested parties, professionals and amateurs alike. It will be bilingual (German/French), with simultaneous translation.  

Teams from Swiss music colleges (HSLU-M Lucerne, ZHdK Zurich, HEMU Geneva), who integrate sustainable health concepts into their training courses, will provide information on empowerment strategies and offers for healthy music schools. Associations, therapists and specialist teachers will be providing information in the form of a panel discussion and practical testimonials. 

Swissmedmusica is partnering the Swiss Society for Music Pedagogy (SSPM), Sonart - Creators of Music in Switzerland and the Swiss Association of Music Schools (ASEM) for Music Health Day. In addition to the Day, Swissmedmusica offers a free, independent national advisory service and a network of doctors and therapists with expertise in music medicine.  

On Health Day, Swissmedmusica, the former Swiss Society for Music Medicine, will also be presenting a directory of verified and reliable health services for the music industry, accessible via the Internet.
