Visit Swiss Youth Music Competition (CSMJ) has in recent years become the most important national event for the search for young talent and broad-based encouragement. It is open to young amateurs between the ages of 8 and 20 (22 for singers). In the Classical category, the various instruments feature on the program, alternating every two years for the solo competitions, while in the Chamber Music duos and/or ensembles, all formations are possible every year. Entrada competitions take place in March at nine to ten locations throughout Switzerland. All those who win first prize in the Entrada competition are admitted to the final competition, which takes place in the first half of May at a different venue each year. In the Jazz, Rock&Pop category, interested groups register via the Mx3 portal. They are admitted to the "Come Together" live selection on the basis of the demos submitted. Bands who win first prize in the live selection have the opportunity to perform again at the Award-Session.
