Listening to and working the blues
Jean-François Mathieu's Blueschool blues workshops resume for four Saturdays of in-depth blues work.
How to work it, learn a few styles, interact, acquire the basics of playing in a group, as well as practicing keys, binary or ternary, metrics, structures, riffs, improvisation, tips and tricks: the workshop touches on all this and will get participants into the blues spirit.
The dates are February 9, February 23, March 16 and April 13, from 10am to 5:30pm. Having two to three weeks between intensive 6-hour sessions allows everyone to experiment with the data they've acquired, and to prepare themselves better and faster for the next session.
Classes are held at the Ancienne Diamanterie in Saint-Genis-Pouilly, five minutes from Geneva-Meyrin.
