Composer, organist and improviser in the tradition of Franck, Messiaen and Dutilleux, Thierry Escaich is a unique figure on the contemporary music scene and one of the leading representatives of the new generation of French composers.

The workshops will run from November 23 to 28. The work produced in these workshops will be the subject of a first concert on November 28, 2015 at the Collège Saint-Michel church in Fribourg, with the Vocalistes and the HEMU Orchestra, more than sixty students, accompanied on the organ by Thierry Escaich. A second concert will be given on July 3, 2016, as part of FIMS. The program will include the Trois motets for 12 voices and organ, and the Concerto for violin and orchestra.

The Fribourg International Festival of Sacred Music will take place from July 2 to 10, 2016.
