After completing a Bachelor's degree in violin performance at Université de Montréal and a Master's degree in instrumental didactics specialized in violin at Université Laval (Canada), Noémie L. Robidas spent two years in Paris, perfecting her violin and chamber music skills at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. She then undertook a doctorate in music education at Université Laval, complemented by training in management.

Noémie Robidas has extensive professional experience as a musician, teacher, researcher and school director. For over fifteen years, she taught young non-professional students, then at higher and tertiary levels in several major establishments. For the past seven years, she has devoted her time to directing schools.

Her background has given her a vast knowledge of the profession, and enables her to take an enlightened look at the realities of both music school students and students in professional Bachelor's and Master's programs. She is open to the challenges of our rapidly changing society, and to the different types of music taught at the HEM.

Noémie L. Robidas is 41, Canadian and French. Her professional career has already led her to discover the French-speaking part of Switzerland and its music training institutions. She taught for a semester at the HEP BEJUNE for the training of music teachers, and for several years has been involved on an ad hoc basis in conservatories and HEMs in French-speaking Switzerland. She will take up her new post on March 1, 2019.
