New administrative manager
Andrew Ferguson will be the new Administrative Director of HEMU-CL from June 1, 2020.
Of Swiss and British origin, Andrew Ferguson is trilingual and holds a master's degree in the history of classical antiquity. He began his career in the Swiss Army, where he spent two years in charge of the administration of the Swiss Wind Symphony Orchestra, before becoming general manager of the Rouen Opera Orchestra and Chorus in 2005, and of the Orchestre National de Montpellier in 2010. He returned to Geneva in 2012, where for almost eight years he was executive director of the Geneva Chamber Orchestra Foundation. Throughout his professional career, he has added to his academic knowledge in non-profit management, marketing and financing of cultural structures, and sustainable management. His interests, beyond the music he plays in his spare time, focus on the governance and development of artistic and cultural structures.
Mathieu Fleury, who took on the role of Administrative Director within the HEMU-CL Management on January 1, 2017, will be leaving the institution in the coming weeks.
