Effective 1er March 2019, Noémie L. Robidas immediately set to work on the ongoing restructuring of the HEMU, while ensuring continuity of excellence in both professional and non-professional teaching. She is also committed to serving as President of the Conference of Swiss Music Schools (CHEMS) from 2020.

A first mandate that solidifies the foundations

The Conservatoire de Lausanne has played an important role in the General Manager's activities and concerns during her first term of office, to ensure that this part of the institution can continue to fulfil its fundamental mission of providing basic education for children and supporting young talent.

The HEMU, its teaching staff and its 550 students, has a duty to forge fertile links with both the local and international milieu, while taking account of societal developments. These dimensions are also supported and encouraged by Noémie L. Robidas to enable future professional musicians to build promising, long-term careers. As part of her mandate, the Director also actively encourages the development of the "research" dimension.

A second mandate widely approved

In accordance with the legal framework that requires it, and with the agreement of State Councillor Frédéric Borloz, in charge of the department responsible for higher education, the Foundation Board warmly thanks Noémie L. Robidas for accepting the renewal of her mandate. It looks forward to her commitment and to being able to count on her skills and rich personality to pursue the HEMU-CL's mission of education.
