Demotape Clinic 2013
The Demotape Clinic has made a name for itself in the field of Swiss music promotion. Every year, around 800 musicians from all over Switzerland submit their demos to the jury, with around a third from French-speaking Switzerland and 40 from Ticino.
A pre-judging panel listens to each track. The most interesting entries in the four categories are then invited to the Demotape Clinic live session. Here, in front of a live audience, a panel of industry professionals listen to the demos and provide feedback, advice and answers to participants' questions.
For the 2013 edition, the registration deadline is January 13. The live sessions will take place as part of the m4music festival on March 22 and 23, 2013 at the Schiffbau in Zurich.
Awards and prizes
The winners will receive prizes from the Suisa Foundation worth a total of CHF 17,000, radio airplay and publication of their song on the CD "The Best of Demotape Clinic".
The Demotape Clinic will be accompanied by panel discussions, lectures and workshops for musicians and those interested in pop culture. Admission to these events and the live sessions is free.
