Voix de fête: shorter but with the same spirit
Voix de Fête celebrates its 15th anniversary this spring, with Alexandre Poulin, Robert Charlebois, Cali, Sarcloret and others.
This year, Geneva's festival of French-language music will last just five days, due to a lack of funding. It had already been reduced from ten to six days in 2012. Beyond the duration, Voix de Fête will be true to itself, welcoming both famous and unknown artists. In all, some thirty performances are expected, not counting the concerts offered as part of the Bar en Fête off-festival.
Canadian Alexandre Poulin is the star of this year's edition, which runs from March 13 to 17, 2013. But it's Quebec's Robert Charlebois and his new album Tout est bien who will open the lights. Cali, Sarcloret, Marc Aymon and Thierry Romanens also feature in this 15th program, alongside a dozen Swiss, French and Canadian groups who will perform as part of the two discovery afternoons given at Le Chat Noir, in Carouge.
