The Hans Reinhart Ring 2013 for Yvette Théraulaz
The Swiss Theatre Society has awarded the 2013 Hans Reinhart Ring to actress and singer Yvette Théraulaz.
The award has been presented since 1957 by the Swiss Theatre Society (SST) in recognition of outstanding artistic careers that have made the country's theatrical life shine. The Federal Office of Culture (FOC) has supported the award since 2001. It is the highest distinction awarded to theater artists in Switzerland.
Yvette Théraulaz is being honored for the creative originality of her work as a performer, vibrant and passionate, warm and rich in empathy. For half a century, Yvette Théraulaz has given pride of place to the French-speaking stage - both institutional and independent - and helped it to grow by performing on some of the most important stages in France and Belgium. Her demanding repertoire and the diversity of the directors she has worked with, and continues to work with today, testify to her exemplary ability to challenge herself. Throughout her career, the actress has accompanied her theatrical and musical career with an exemplary commitment to the cause of women, particularly in show business. SST salutes a strong personality whose commitment and original approach to the stage have enriched the French-speaking theatrical landscape.
