Sofia Gubaïdulina at La Chaux-de-Fonds
The Ensemble Symphonique de Neuchâtel welcomes Sofia Gubaïdulina for the Swiss premiere of "Fachwerk", a work for bayan (accordion) and orchestra.
The evening will begin with his Introitus for piano and orchestra, and concludes with Shostakovich's Symphony No. 14, for which Sofia Gubaïdulina was assistant conductor.
The concert will take place on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Salle de Musique in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It is organized in collaboration with the Société de Musique de la Chaux-de-Fonds. The Ensemble Symphonique de Neuchâtel will be conducted by Alexander Mayer, with Geir Draugsvoll on accordion, Alice Di Piazza on piano, and the voices of Irina Solomatina Tissot and Christian Immler.
The day before, on Tuesday February 19, a conference-meeting with the composer hosted by Jonas Pulver will take place in the same city at Club 44.
