With Woodkid and Gautier Capuçon
The Sinfonietta de Lausanne will accompany Woodkid and Gautier Capuçon at summer festivals.
A fashionable thirty-something, Woodkid (Yoann Lemoine) is a protean artist: designer, graphic artist, photographer, musician and director of award-winning clips in every sense. He cultivates strong imagery, indulges in intimate folk nostalgia and takes on symphonic climaxes in grand style. He will be performing at the Montreux Festival, accompanied by the Sinfonietta de Lausanne.
The Sinfonietta, conducted for the first time by Alexander Mayer, will also accompany internationally acclaimed cellist Gautier Capuçon, patron of the St Prex Classics Young People. Also on stage is the talented 28-year-old Jorge Viladoms, piano professor at the Lausanne Conservatoire.
