Valais seeks artists for its 200th anniversary
"Oh! Festival Valais Wallis Arts Vivants 2015" will take place, for the first time, from January 21 to 25, 2015 in eleven Valais towns and communes as part of the canton's 200th anniversary celebrations. Artists can apply now.
For this event, which will bring together artists from the Valais, Switzerland and abroad, the Plateforme Culture Valais is launching two calls for entries.
On the one hand, it invites companies and/or individual professional artists active in the Valais to submit a proposal for the creation of a show evoking the Valais between tradition and modernity.
The Plateforme Culture Valais also invites professional companies and/or individual artists working in the Valais to submit a dossier of their productions for inclusion in the festival, in the following fields: theater, dance, classical music, sacred music, musical theater, contemporary music, world music, circus, song, café-théâtre, comedy, puppets, shows for young audiences, performances, digital arts, multidisciplinary arts, new arts...
As the Oh! Festival is also conceived as a marketplace for shows attended by programmers from theaters in Switzerland and abroad, the shows selected must have the potential to be presented nationally and internationally.
