Jean Knechtli Scholarship 2014
Any young musician under the age of 30 with a connection to the Nyon (Vaud) region can enter. Submission deadline September 25, 2014.
A bursary of 5,000 Swiss francs is awarded every two years by the Association des amis de Jean Knechtli to a young musician aged no more than 30, with ties to the district of Nyon/Vaud (residence - past or present - personal or family, place of work). The following conditions must be met: candidates must be destined for a professional musical career. The grant is open to any instrument, including vocal, classical or jazz, but not to groups. Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae and a letter of motivation clearly describing their professional projects, as well as references from schools attended. An audio support of their work (cassette, CD or DVD) is required. The jury reserves the right to audition candidates.
Applications must be submitted by September 25, 2014 to the Greffe Municipal de la ville de Nyon. The grant will be awarded in early November at the same ceremony as the City of Nyon and Régionyon Art Prize, but is independent of them.
