2015 marks the 15th edition of the "Bois qui chante" adventure, a ten-day violin festival in Château-d'Œx, from October 9 to 18.

Concerts, workshops, meals, walks, cinema... diversity is one of the festival's hallmarks, with the great classical evenings marking the two weekends. Around pianist Marc Pantillon and his daughter Anne-Laure on transverse flute, the Sigma ensemble invites you on a French voyage (Poulenc, Debussy, Ravel, Ibert...) on Saturday October 10. At the other end of the festival (Sunday, October 18), the Stuller Quartet and pianist Gerardo Vila will make the strings' wood resonate in a program turned towards the East, with Dvorak's Quintet as the focal point.

Workshops, walks and a change of scenery
Every year, audiences are delighted to discover the results of a weekend's work by amateur musicians from the orchestra workshop, under the expert direction of Alexandre Clerc. The concert will take place on Sunday, October 11 in the Grande Salle, featuring works by Grieg, Bollschweiler and Mozart, performed by pianist Raphaël Sudan. As for the forest walk, it will be organized for the first time this year by the Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut, on Wednesday October 14.

On October 9, the Marquis de Saxe quartet will invite young festival-goers to discover the world of the saxophone. The Geneva Brass Quintett will then take over for a multicolored performance, from Rossini to Ennio Morricone. The change of scenery continues on October 15 with a trip to Spain with violinist Andrés Ortiz and guitarist Pablo Rioja, followed the next day by a candlelit evening hosted by sisters Annina and Meret Eve Haug.

Anniversary day
The highlight of the year will undoubtedly be the "Crazy 15th Anniversary Day", scheduled for the afternoon of October 17: a descent of the Crane Valley in the company of yodeler Barbara Klossner. It's an opportunity to underline the close ties that bind the Saanenland and Pays-d'Enhaut regions across the language divide.

This will be followed by the now traditional "music and gastronomy" evening, hosted this year by chef Wolfgang Weissert and the Cosa Nostra Jazz Band.
