This year's mentors will be Yaron Herman, Al Jarreau, Ziv Ravitz, Nils Petter Molvaer, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Joe Sanders. And the public can enjoy free workshops and jam sessions every day!

Workshops
The Academy is above all an experience of musical proximity, both at the heart of the work process between the artists and for the audience. Free public workshops will be open to the public every evening at 5pm, in the form of carte blanche sessions with mentors such as Al Jarreau and Nils Petter Molvaer, as well as outside speakers such as English film composer John Altman. Another way to meet artists, to discuss their careers and their relationship with music.

Concerts
A genuine professional springboard, the Academy aims to be an intimate breeding ground for musical and cultural encounters, intensive playing and the circulation of knowledge between several generations of musicians. The aim? The transmission of new experiences and perspectives to participants by their mentors, and the creation of two original concerts under the musical direction of Yaron Herman. These two concerts will take place on October 8, 2015 at the very heart of their working residency: the Centre Musical Sylvia Waddilove, in Villeneuve.

Jam
Every evening, it's all about jazz and breaking boundaries. The public, young talents and their mentors can meet up at 8pm in the friendly atmosphere of Funky Claude's Bar, at the Montreux Palace. Free jam sessions will give young musicians the chance to get a better grasp of their privileged element: the stage. Watch them evolve, take risks and measure themselves against the art of improvisation, sometimes against the grain, as they take on the thematic constraints of major musical genres: from swing to Latin jazz to soul...
