Electronsanne pulls the plug

The Electrosanne festival, created in 2006 by the Fayabash Association, will not be held again despite positive results. The organizers wish to focus on new projects.

The Electrosanne electronic music festival celebrated a memorable finale to its tenth edition on September 6. Despite the great success, the festival team has decided to put an end to the project.

Financial considerations also guided the Electrosanne board in its decision. In its ten years of existence, the Festival has not met with the necessary commitment from its public and private partners to support the development of the event and maintain the level of quality demanded by a major event. Where major cultural institutions benefit from colossal subsidies, Electrosanne navigates by sight, without the logistical and financial support to endow the project with an ambitious long-term vision. This has become a heavy responsibility for the organizers, who assume the risks on a personal basis.

The organizers state that "the Electrosanne Festival will have been an extraordinary adventure and will have provided all participants with highlights of electronic culture thanks to a panoply of musical performances and cultural mediation activities such as workshops, exhibitions and children's workshops." They extend their warmest thanks to the artists, volunteers, partners and audiences who have worked alongside them over the past ten years to make Electrosanne a recognized and appreciated event.
