Concerts, Bal(l)ades and workshops
Forty "one-hour, intermission-free" performances are on offer from August 12 to 28 at the Festival des Jardins Musicaux.
As usual, the festival takes place at several venues: the emblematic Grange aux Concerts in Cernier (CH), the Saline Royale d'Arc-et-Senans (F), the Chasseral Regional Park (CH) and the Cinémathèque Suisse (Lausanne).
The 2016 edition gives pride of place to landmark works from the 20th and 21st centuries: Bartók, Reich, Hindemith, Ravel, Bério, Prokoviev, Stravinsky, Ligeti and Copland, among others. They will be served by the Orchestre des Jardins Musicaux and a host of soloists including violinist Mikhail Ovrutsky, sopranos Katrien Baerts, Clara Meloni and Jeannette Fischer, Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Segal, Carine Séchaye, Antoine Françoise, Robin Green, Lionel Cottet, Louis Schwitzgebel and Erika Stucky.
After presenting all of Chaplin's feature films with live orchestral accompaniment, Jardins Musicaux concludes this cycle with Le Pèlerin and A Dog's Life and the Festival orchestra.
Bal(l)ades at the Parc Chasseral
For the past five years, the Chasseral Regional Park and the Festival have been working together on the Bal(l)ades... project, which proposes the discovery of unusual and fascinating places and as many original concerts throughout the Park.

Paper program
Illustrating a concert or show in a program means giving a first "reading" of the works, to the audience who awaits them and to the artists who prepare them. Since 2013, La Collection de l'Art Brut has been making works from its collection available to Jardins Musicaux. This privileged collaboration enables us to share with the public an immense reservoir of imagination.
