Lavaux Classic and far away
From June 22 to July 2, 2017, the Lavaux Classic festival invites you to take your eyes - and ears - far away, with the theme "A whole far away world...".
The Lavaux Classic program is a reminder that music and the arts have always been enriched by contact with other cultures. More than 25 concerts and events in the In section and almost 30 free concerts in the Off section reflect the fruitfulness of cultural exchange and openness to others.
Highlights of the program include gambist Jordi Savall and his Orient-Occident program; a trip to the Basque country with the famous piano duo of sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque; and the encounter between Vincent Ségal and Ballaké Sissoko, blending Mandingo, Baroque, Brazilian and Gypsy spirits.
There will also be a musician-winegrower encounter between pianist Cédric Pescia and winegrower Nicolas Pittet. It will take place in the vineyards on Sunday, July 2.
Two works by photographer Christian Coigny make up the posters for this 2017 edition.
