Games of La Francophonie in Côte d'Ivoire
Nearly 4,000 young artists and athletes from the 84 states and governments of La Francophonie will gather in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, to take part in the 8th Jeux de la Francophonie from July 21 to 30, 2017.
On the program, song, hip-hop, but also many other artistic disciplines as well as a whole range of athletes. The opening ceremony is scheduled for July 21, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Stade Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan. The festivities will kick off with a colorful parade of the 53 participating delegations, followed by official speeches and, finally, a grandiose show bringing together the values dear to La Francophonie, Côte d'Ivoire and these 8th Games.
In a few figures, the Games of La Francophonie represent 30 invited heads of state, 53 participating delegations, 4,000 young athletes and artists, 12 cultural competitions, 500,000 spectators and 500 million television viewers.
