Festi'neuch a success
The 18th edition of Festi'neuch attracted 45,000 festival-goers and enjoyed fine weather. The organizers report excellent organizational and artistic results, and achieved their objectives.
Thursday was marked by a live performance from OrelSan, with the crowd going wild to the French rapper's songs. 11,000 festival-goers turned out for this first evening, a magnificent start. On Friday under the Chapiteau, Keny Arkana delivered a meaningful performance, while techno brass band Meute got the Lacustre stage dancing to the sound of brass and drums. On Saturday, Bigflo & Oli literally blew the Chapiteau away with their boundless energy. The evening came to a climactic close with a smashing show by Mr Oizo.
Attendance was excellent over the four days, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings, which were sold out. Such attendance confirms the popular enthusiasm generated by Festi'neuch, and proves that the event continues to shine far and wide. With a positive organizational and artistic balance sheet, the organizers are pleased to announce that the objectives set for this year's event have been met. However, due to a drop in sponsorship, it will not be possible to break even. In addition, a large number of children's tickets at the price of three francs were sold for the Saturday evening, resulting in lower sales than planned with adult tickets. This observation does not call into question the festival's family vocation, which will continue to offer concerts that bring people together.
The 19th edition of Festi'neuch will be held from June 13 to 16, 2019.
