Following the success of the 2017 edition, during which it celebrated its 30th anniversary, the JazzOnze+ Festival Lausanne continues to evolve. In addition to the two venues of the Casino de Montbenon and L'EJMA, as well as La Datcha, a new collaboration with Les Docks is behind the concert by Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, which will enable a large audience to go wild to the Nigerian saxophonist's Afrobeat. New for this 31st edition: four exceptional concerts will also be held in the BCV Concert Hall at the HEMU, featuring French accordionist Vincent Peirani and his quintet Living Being, the trio of guitar virtuoso Julian Lage, Israeli trumpeter Avishai Cohen and his quartet, and the new English phenomenon Mammal Hands.

The heart of the festival, Salle Paderewski, will once again offer a tasty mix of sounds, welcoming Jan Garbarek, Enrico Rava and Joe Lovano, Yilian Cañizares and Omar Sosa, and the SF Jazz Collective, among others. As ever, the venue will be showcasing the Swiss scene, with opening acts dedicated to the Swiss scene.

Collaborations with the Ecole de Jazz et de Musique Actuelle (EJMA) and La Datcha are continuing this year to offer free concerts and a wider range of evening events.

EspaceJazz does not fail to live up to its reputation as a place of discoveries, inviting Knower, The Great Harry Hillman, Ghost-Note and Lady Bazaar. Saturday evening is free, and features the exotic sounds of Lalibela Express and the Kutiman Orchestra.
