"The alliance between the OCL and Renaud Capuçon is a promise of high-flying artistic sharing, for all audiences, in the continuity of the work done by Joshua Weilerstein," enthuses Alexandre Curchod, Chairman of the OCL Foundation Board.

The OCL and Renaud Capuçon are driven by the same enthusiasm, which is rooted in previous collaborations and in particular in the concert given last March in a program combining Beethoven, Schubert and Mozart. The Maestro's concert, held behind closed doors because of the epidemic, was a real hit with the musicians.

For his part, Renaud Capuçon is delighted to take up his new post: "It is both an honor and a great joy to have been chosen as Artistic Director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne. I've always admired this orchestra, and I can't wait to be reunited with its musicians to open a new musical chapter together. Renaud Capuçon will be at the helm from the 2021-2022 season, performing in Lausanne as well as on tour and in recordings, and will be responsible for the musical programming of the orchestra's future seasons. He will thus become the Lausanne-based orchestra's seventh artistic director. In the meantime, the OCL will be performing alongside Renaud Capuçon next season in a concert at the Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence on April 8, 2021.
